Jon Rothers

Jon Rothers is the superintendent of Johnson County Central Public Schools, a small district in Nebraska that serves a high share of students in poverty, students with disabilities, and English learners. He reads a roster as a group of specific children rather than a headcount, and will split a single grade into two classrooms when the mix of needs calls for it, without lowering what he expects of students once they are in the room.
